The Twinnedit Digital Twin platform is NOT a filing cabinet that is full of raw information which has restricted access for a few. It’s a complete collection of a myriad of digital assets and information that bought together creates a truly immersive and easy-to-navigate Digital Twin platform – ALL can benefit from. Your digital Safety Case!

Within this digital Safety Case are key elements which need to be understood by someone who does not know your organisation and its structure, methods, approaches and processes. Twinnedit provides a unique platform which allows our users to be able to share and access digital information for all elements of the Building Safety case. This allows for the consolidation of information and data from multiple systems or silos.

Twinnedit users can visualise Fire and Structural recommendations and create an action plan directly from the system.  Understanding the risks posed to their buildings is provided via a scored HAZID based risk assessment. Organisations can consider scenario, what if and the effectiveness of their emergency procedures via a building systems risk section of the platform.

Our users have the option to include a narrative that ties together all the information they provide. This narrative supports their argument on why their residents and buildings are safe and the evidence to show how they have ensured that the building remains a safe place to live, work, and play.

When you consider all of this plus recording of works post construction, servicing and maintenance amongst others, it is easy to see how all of this makes Twinnedit the right place to be able to see the whole picture when considering the Building Safety Case.

Safety Case Report
Safety Case Report

We have developed a Safety Case Report that can be generated directly from Twinnedit, for those who need to submit it to the UK Building Safety Regulator (as required by the Building Safety Act 2022). This report is client-branded, clear, and precise. A unique structured and easily maintainable report that shows the regulator you truly understand your residents and the building they live in.

Additionally, there is a LIVE Safety Case Report page within Twinnedit that displays the status of the building in real-time, which can be used for internal purposes.

For those who do not legally need to provide a Safety Case Report to the UK Building Safety Regulator, surely having the ability to instantly present this information to any stakeholder that needs to understand you are delivering the best service for your residents, occupants and visitors – is equally invaluable?!

Evolution
Evolution

We started our journey in 2018 and in parallel with Dame Judith Hackitt writing her Building a Safer Future report, working with a forward thinking housing provider called whg. We created an initial list of all of the information we needed to bring together.

We then met with the UK government “Golden Thread” team within the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) in 2020 and once they saw Twinnedit asked us to be part of the “Early Adopters” group to assist the evolution of the Building Safety Act and what needed to be Digitally done. A relationship that continues to this day.

Plus, we are proud to have all of the members of our Utopia steering group actively engaged in the direction that Twinnedit takes, suggesting improvements, enhanced features and innovation to our platform, its capabilities, safety case contents and reports.

This is what makes Twinnedit unique and shares best practices via our Utopia group.  Twinnedit has been involved with the regulator from the start and the early adopter programme, presenting to stakeholders at the highest level when few others had even entered this space!
